Can I Have My New Car Protected Before I Pick It Up?
Yes, we can organize your coating to be applied before delivery or pick up of your new vehicle. We will contact the dealership or car yard to organize this for you. Depending on the notice given to us and the application date, some limits may still apply to your car when you pick it in observation of the required curing time on Graphene Protect.
Does My Car Have To Be Clean For It To Be Coated?
Generally yes, we'll need your car in a relatively clean condition to begin working on it. If this can't be done, then please let us know so we can organize to have it cleaned prior to work starting. Charges apply.
Will Graphene Protect Keep My Car From Being Scratched?
Unfortunately, nothing is ultimately scratch resistant in the automotive industry. While protecting your actual paintwork, Graphene Protect builds a layer of protection which may help build resistance to scratches. Graphene Protect and the Star-Care Wash and Care Pack will be everything you need to avoid scratching your paintwork during washing which is a major contributor to paintowork damage. Startech's scratch removal service would remedy any scratches in Graphene Protected paintwork and a re-application of protection would be needed. Please get in touch for a quote if required.
Does Graphene Protect Come With a Warranty?
Yes, Graphene Protect is backed by our 5 Year Star-Care Warranty, provided you follow our simple instructons included with your Star-Care Wash & Care Pack. These detail how to care for your car once it is coated and includes everything you need to keep it looking clean. Our Star-Care Warranties are performance based and cover application defects and performance short-comings. More information is available on your Warranty Card included in your Wash & Care Pack.
Can I have my existing vehicle Graphene Protected?
In most cases the car will not need to be brand new, however, it is more likely that your car will need to have remedial work completed before we can properly protect it. Remedial work seeks to bring the car up to an high standard so that it both looks great, but also is the correct surface quality to apply Graphene Protect to. Charges will apply for remedial work. If in doubt get in touch with us and we can help you assertain what would be required.
How Often Do I Need To Wash My Car?
As a general rule, you should be aiming to wash your car at least twice a month. This frequency will not only keep your car looking better, it will enable better performance from Graphene Protect. Hydrophobicity can be affected by surface dirt and grime which over time builds up on your car, so washing it regularly combats this and keeps Graphene Protect working as best it can. Our Star-Care Wash & Care Pack contains everything you need for your next 20-30 washes. Additional products can be purchased from us here after your intial supply has run out.
I Have Had An Accident, Can I Get My New Paint Protected?
Yes, in most cases you'll be able to inform your insurance company that you have had your car paint protected with Graphene Protect. When it comes time to claim, your insurance company can organize a re-application of the repainted areas.
I Have Bird Poo/Tree Sap/Fallout On My Car:

My Car Is Not New, Can My Seats Be Protected?
Most vehicles will have an acceptable level of wear on the leather or fabric seats, however, in some cases there may be damage or wear and tear beyond the reasonable level that would mitigate any benefits of protection. Your vehicles seats will need to be cleaned properly prior to application of protection. Charges will apply if we need to carry any minor cleaning. Heavily soiled, damaged or pet affected leather or fabric will not be cleaned or protected by our team.
Where Will The Work Take Place?
We are a mobile service and can come to a location suitable to you and the work required. A dry environment is crucial to the preparation and application process, so an undercover area or garage maybe the best place. All service are weather dependent for a number of factors, we will let you know if this will affect your booked work.
My Car Has Soft Paint, Will Graphene Protect Work?
Many Automotive paints nowadays are softer than they used to be. This can encourage marring and waterspots. Graphene Protect can help softer paint look better for longer. Having said that, if your car seems prone to waterspotting, marring, scratches and other regular damage then perhaps there are other circumstances that need adjusting or mitigating to help your car. Factors that can contribute to these are parking & storage location, washing & drying routine, repaint/damage history and even driving habits.
