Attend To Your Vehicle's Needs

Address marks, stains, brid droppings or other issues as soon as possible. Not allowing pollutants the time to eat into Graphene Protect and subsequently your cars paintwork is crucial in keeping your car looking great.

NEVER

Never Use Chemical Cleaners

Chemical Cleaners are harsh and can sometimes strip protection from your vehicle. Only use Graphene Protect Safe cleaners found on our store, or alterntively use PH Neutral or Akaline products.

Never Scrub Away At Marks

Stubborn stains, dirt or bird droppings need to be soaked before removal. Soak them first to loosen them and then wash gently. Re-soak if needed and repeat. Scrubbing, even with the softest cloth, will scratch your paintwork and leave a dull haze in the clearcoat.

Never Use Automatic Car Washes

These often scratch your vehicle and leave hazing on your paint work. Even when they are brushless or brush-free, they use harsh chemicals which can eat away your Graphene Protect coating. They are also expensive and never as thorough as a hand wash. This will void your Warranty.

Never Wash Your Vehicle In Direct Sunlight

Wait until your panels are cool or find a shaded spot before washing. Water spotting on your glass and paintwork, will occur in hot temperatures. Always use a Drying Towel to remove any excess water.

In Depth Washing Guide:

(Two-Bucket method is not required but remains optional)

Step 1: Thoroughly rinse your car with water, removing and loose dirt and grime.

Step 2: Prepare in a clean bucket, 4-8 capfuls of Car Shampoo/Graphene Shampoo with 5-8 litres of water. The ratio varies between car to car, and how dirty your vehicle is.

Step 3: Working panel by panel, softly wash and each section focusing on any visibly dirty areas initially, then working the rest of the area. Rinse clean immediately.

Step 4: As you continue to work your way around your car, revisit any problem areas and re-soak, rewash if needed remembering to be as gentle as possible.

Step 5: Soak Alloys/Mag Wheels in soapy water and rinse clean using water. Wash thoroughly using the Wheel Mitt provided, ensuring you attack any brake dust build up where it has discolored your wheels. Rinse the mitt in between wheels and avoid contaminating your clean bucket. Rinse wheels thoroughly.

Step 6: When finished washing your vehicle you should have no signs of dirt or soap suds left on it. Re-wash or re-rinse if needed. Using your drying towel, in long strokes dry the vehicle panel by panel. Avoid bunching the towel or applying too much pressure. To dry the roof, drape the towel over it keeping it flat and walk along the side of your vehicle. Do not dry dirty spots with the dry towel or you will contaminate other areas of your vehicle and risk dragging dirt over your other panels.

PRO TIP: When a dirty spot or panel is cleaned and the sponge becomes discolored from dirt and grime build up, DO NOT put it back into your clean bucket – Rinse the sponge thoroughly clean first before continuing. This avoids dirt transfer and the reduces surface abrasion and the likelihood of contaminant scratching.

PRO TIP: Some water will bead off your vehicle as you work around however there may be spots of that water pool naturally such as on the bonnet and roof. Ensure you dry these areas thoroughly to avoid watermarks or atmospheric dust build up.

The Star-Care Pack provided is to teach you the best practice when washing and caring for your exterior paintwork. You will learn the best practice of washing your vehicle over time and may not need to reference this guide as time goes on.

Product Care Information

You can purchase additional Car Shampoo from us or replace it with any PH Neutral to Alkaline car wash when you have run out. You can purchase our Graphene Protect Shampoo to further protect and enhance the quality of your car’s finish.

Avoid washing your Drying Towel as washing machines and soapy chemicals can damage the twisted braid structure and the absorbency of it. The cleaner your vehicle is after washing, the cleaner your towel will be as a result meaning it will not need to be washed if at all often. Line dry the towel when finished. If necessary, wring it out very lightly. Do not tumble dry.

The Microfibre Sponge and Wash Mitts need to be rinsed after use. If dirt build-up occurs on these, soak in warm soapy water to loosen and evaluate. Harsh washing cycles and detergents can damage the effectiveness of these. Limit machine washing. Line or air dry.
